this list is fucked up
they dont take into account any mixtapes lil wayne has produced or any of the singles that he has just released
also jeezy is way tighter then snoop and 50 right now
yea snoop got it done before, but all the harped on was what was going on right now and snoops last cd sucked
The list should go...
1. Lil Wayne
2. Kanye
3. Jay-Z
4. Rick Ross
5. Lupe
6. Jeezy
7. 50
8. TI
9. Andre 3000
10. Soulja Boy ( i dont like him, but you cant say what he did wasnt monumental)
I left snoop out because his work right now didnt reflect what he really is and because of that he shouldnt be on there

im tired of this mtv "top ten artist" junk, have you noticed that evryone on that panel is at least 30 years old, thats the reason why Jay-Z always finds his ass on this list, how bout yall leave the voting to us young people preferably 20-26 year olds, i bet in the back of the minds of all the panelist they wanna throw Nas or Dr.Dre at a good #6 oh "cuz their stil dope" lol yall dudes are so lame and irrelvant to the young people. im not gon lie Kanye do belong on the list but come on #1 are u kiddng me, Lil Wayne has not lost steam since the last list, all of yall dudes dont be in the streets yall dont know whats hot, Boosie is hot Webbie is hot Jeezy is hot Wayne is def. HOT!!! I think MTV need to make two list an up north version and a down south version cuz this aint right.....MTV get at me!

"I left snoop out because his work right now didnt reflect what he really is and because of that he shouldnt be on there"

Seriously?? And you know what he "really is" ? I mean yea, he's not rapping too much about 1-8-7's but he still and always will have that charismatic flow that everyone knows and wants to hear. Besides, he doesn't have to rap about that anymore because we already know. Snoop is always relevant.

Everyone on that panel is at least 30 yrs old? And???
Shit, I'm just surprised that they were even considering Soulja Boy.
I mean yea what he did was cool, he hustled himself but that doesn't mean he's a top MC.
Why America? Why do we have such shitty standards in hip-hop???
More than half of the rappers out there shouldn't even be recognized for anything but how weak and horrible their music and flow is.
I don't care what age in hip-hop we're in, considering the artists that started it all in hip-hop, we should have high standards towards these up and coming rappers.

Very true. We should have higher standards. But I'll be honest..I've been sucked into this newer hiphop game. It's like the norm now, it's what we're used to, it's what we expect. It's all the same formula. Its like there's nothing deep to rap about anymore. Everything that needed to be said has been told already. But it's been about the beats for the past decade , not so much the flow/lyricist. But even more these beats are all sounding the same. Soon they'll run out of pioneering beats too, though I hope I'm wrong.
I'm afraid for hip-hop.

for one thing jay-z is played out and washed up. him and snoop dogg WERE two of the best in the rap game but they haven't produced any real hit songs in a while. as for rick ross even being considered...that is pothetic just like his rapping...he has had hit songs but none have been hot for a long time, he is nothin but a fad that comes and goes. the rest of the rappers are considerably ok but a few of them should not be on that list. i guess if the list was on popular vote or "which rapper reaches out to the largest veriaty of fans" then it would be kind of accurate, aside from that the list is pretty shity and above all wrong as hell
